The iEFIS is a comprehensive flight, engine and navigation instrument designed for Experimental and Light Sport aircraft. It is the next generation EFIS system utilizing a custom developed, pressure sensitive, sunlight readable touchscreen that can also be operated using gloves.

iEFIS combines the undeniable advantages of simplified operation that a touchscreen can offer with rich traditional controls that are equally indispensable in the cockpit environment. As an EFIS hardware platform, the iEFIS breaks the tasks it conducts down into separate modular multi-processor units that all communicate on a reliable CAN bus network (similar to the automotive industry). This results in a robust system in which each device on the network has very specific tasks to handle.

This is coupled with intense low power design methods to further maximize overall system application and reliability. The large amount of flexibility built into the base system allows the adaptation of the iEFIS to almost any mission and aircraft. The iEFIS screens can be completely edited by the user using a simple PC program to create any display the user desires. This makes the system absolutely the most customizable EFIS on the market today!

Due to low system cost, the iEFIS is equally suited to light aircraft, gliders and rotorcraft, while providing enough flexibility to be utilized by multi-engine aircraft with up to 4 engines monitored, and by turbine aircraft and even spacecraft. The principle guidance during the iEFIS development was “complete, one stop, any function, any aircraft”.

The iEFIS is available in 3 screen sizes:

 •  iEFIS Explorer: 8.5” diagonal screen size (800 x 480 pixels - WGA)

The iEFIS Lite series from MGL Avionics is set to revolutionize the small airplane instrument panel. If just a single EFIS screen is required in your Experimental airplane, the iEFIS Lite offers everything needed.

The first release is the discovery-Lite 7”, which has a bright non-reflective 7" touchscreen of around 1000+ nits. It looks, feels and operates just like a full iEFIS. Compared to a normal iEFIS system we loose one rotary control and the 12 buttons under the display. These are now a fixture of the touch screen on the left side. The Lite version has the new iEFIS G3 CPU and runs the exact same firmware as the full iEFIS system (in other words we use the same binary and sources). The Lite system can do anything a full iEFIS can do, subject to having fewer hardware interfaces - but because of that there is no need for an iBOX.

The unit features a built in GPS, attitude sensor, airspeed pressure sensor, altimeter and OAT sensor with an external option. There are two RS232 ports, for external devices such as radios and transponders/ADS-B transceivers and a single CAN bus that supports any number of MGL Avionics devices, such as autopilot servos, engine monitoring modules (RDACs), flap and trim controller, transponders, SP-6 Compass sensor. You can also connect up to three external SP-7 attitude sensors if required.

The iEFIS Lite is a stand-alone system and is straight forward to install and makes a great panel for many smaller aircraft that would like a sophisticated EFIS but without the cost and complications of a large system.

The screens are fully customisable and the unit comes with a World wide high resolution terrain database built in plus a World wide vector map. It is compatible with MGL's new "MapMaker 2" raster map format.

The G3 iEFIS systems boots to operational state in 0.5 seconds (zero point five) from application of power. GPS is online 0.5 seconds later (provided you have not moved more than 500 Km from last known fix and a fix is possible). Synthetic vision, terrain data, maps etc are all up and live in a blink of an eye.

The iEFIS Lite is available in 3 screen sizes:

The XTreme EFIS is an affordable mini EFIS. It can be configured as a PFD (with AHRS sensors added), and/or an engine monitor (with RDAC added). It includes a GPS receiver that is used to provide ground speed and range information, a basic CDI navigator, and as a backup/control for the AHRS. If you do not select the SP-7 attitude sensor, you can still have a GPS-derived bank angle display!

You can share the AHRS sensor data between several XTreme EFIS units, and you can share the RDAC engine data between several XTreme EFIS units or a mixture of XTreme EFIS units and XTreme EMS units. With the XTreme EMS you can add a 2nd display for engine-only at little expense!

The XTreme EMS is a full-featured , full color Engine Monitoring System for just about any engine.

Using an MGL Avionics RDAC for engine sender connection in the engine compartment, all sensor data is sent through the firewall through a single serial cable, making installation clean and easy.

4 and 6 cylinder engines are fully supported, with up to 12 total channels of CHT or EGT available in any combination.

2 fuel level inputs are available and fuel flow is supported.

Battery voltage is standard and current monitoring is an available option.

An easy-to-read display with alarms on every channel make an engine instrument scan a 1-second affair!

You can share the RDAC engine data between several XTreme EMS units or a mixture of XTreme EFIS units and XTreme EMS units. You can use the XTreme EMS as a 2nd engine display when using the XTreme EFIS for Primary Flight.

The Stratomaster Infinity range consists of fifteen 2 1/4" microprocessor based instruments.

Using a custom made, high resolution graphics display, these instrument provide excellent daylight readability, even in direct sunlight. In addition they all have built in backlighting making them easy to read at night time.

It includes a rotary control plus 2 independent keys for easy menu navigation and to access specific instrument features.

The infinity range also has a wide supply voltage range of 8 to 30V DC with with built in reverse and over voltage protection.

The Infinity series features:

VHF Airband transceivers based on modern digital signal processing technology with built in multi-mode dual circuit intercom system.

The V6 fits 2 1/4” instrument hole.
The V10 fits 3 1/8” instrument hole.

The transceivers feature:

 •  Dual scan with priority on active using single transceiver
 •  SL30 and SL40 communications compatible with MGL extentions to enable full remote control of entire transceiver with status feedback
 •  Fully digital audio subsystem for excellent sound quality
 •  Dual circuit digital intercom system (Pilot and passenger circuit, each with own stereo audio output)
 •  Four place microphone circuit, each with own level control and noise suppression system. Assignable, 1+3 or 2+2 channels (dual circuit intercom)
 •  User selectable ambient noise suppression system and VOX modes:
a) Traditional VOX with adjustable level and fading mute
b) MGL Avionics propriety VOGAD ambient noise ellimination system.
 •  Switchable voice band filter for extremely high noise environments.
 •  Stereo music input with automatic fade down on intercom activity.
 •  Stereo outputs for each intercom circuit. Note: To make full use of the stereo intercom system, stereo headsets are required.
 •  Two auxilary audio inputs, mono, for mobile phone and EFIS annunciator

 •  Pilot and passenger PTT circuits

What is new with the V6, compared to the V10?

Smaller Cutout: The V6 fits a standard 2 1/4” instrument hole.
Knobs: Frequency and volume selection is via standard multifunction knobs. Frequency knob is intelligent and will tune in big steps when you rotate it quickly and in 25 khz steps when you slow down.
Full Stereo: The V6 features a stereo intercom that allows you to listen to stereo music if you connect a music player to the aux audio input (requires stereo headsets). Music automatically mutes down on receive/transmit. There are also 2 mono audio inputs for EFIS alarm annunciator and phone connection.
4 Microphone Channels: The V6 has 4 individual microphone channels for independent level/VOGAD settings for each mic in a 4-place aircraft.
Independent Radio/Intercom Volume controls: The V6 allows you to ‘turn down’ the radio volume while keeping the intercom volume high, for use in busy radio environments.
Isolate Modes: Flying a 4-place aircraft and want to let your 3 passengers (or your 2 backseat passengers) talk amongst themselves while you do the hard work up front? Select one of the V6 isolate modes.
